Proposed Canonical Changes
Congregation at Risk

This proposed canon comes with input from Diocesan Council and with the approval of the Committee on Constitution and Canons.
Revise Canon IV.1-2
This proposed canonical change would expand the composition of the Church Disciplinary Board from five members of the clergy and four lay persons to six members of the clergy and five lay persons. The full text of this proposed canonical change is online here: Revise Canon IV.1-2
This proposed revision to the canons comes with input from the Chair of the Church Disciplinary Board, the Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor and with the approval of the Committee on Constitution and Canons.
Proposed Resolutions
Approve Immediate Elections for Expanded Church Disciplinary Board
This resolution would make it possible, if the proposed revision to Canon IV.1-2 passes, for the change in the composition of the Church Disciplinary Board to take immediate effect. The full text of this resolution is online here: Expand Church Disciplinary Board

Parish Status for Holy Conforter, Martinez – First Reading
In keeping with Canon II.1.5 which calls for two consecutive diocesan conventions to approve or disapprove by a majority vote petitions to advance organized mission to parish status, this is the first reading on a petition from the Church of the Holy Comforter in Martinez. If approved, this petition will be considered at the 195th Convention of the Diocese of Georgia. A majority vote of the two consecutive conventions is required.
